The Company
Intellijoint Surgical develops effective and easy-to-use products to enhance surgeons’ care and patients’ lives. Today, Intellijoint technology lives in the operating room, helping surgeons improve implant positioning during hip and knee replacement surgeries. Our technology has been used in over 60,000 surgeries. We are seeking an IT Manager to lead our growing IT team and help bring innovative technologies to the market.
The Position
Intellijoint Surgical is looking for a hands-on, technically capable IT Manager to oversee our internal IT infrastructure and support the development of key commercial systems. Reporting to the Chief Science Officer, you will play a vital role in onboarding, network management, cybersecurity, and administering tools such as Salesforce CRM, AcuityMD, ERP, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365.
As our IT and systems lead, you will work cross-functionally to ensure our technology is secure, efficient, and aligned with business needs across departments – driving automation, data visibility, and digital transformation as we scale. You will also manage the IT infrastructure for Medical Innovation Xchange (MIX), a MedTech incubator that Intellijoint is part of, ensuring consistent standards and support across both organizations.
Main Duties:
IT Infrastructure & Operations
Manage core IT systems: SharePoint, Rackstation, Jira/Confluence, and Microsoft 365.
Manage onboarding/offboarding, including account provisioning and decommissioning, email archiving, and documentation.
Lead IT audits, software licensing, and enforce least-privilege access policies.
Maintain backups, system updates, device compliance, and security policies using Kandji and InTune.
Administer network equipment (routers, firewalls, switches, VLANs, VPNs), manage AV and VOIP systems, and support bandwidth/ service optimization.
Supervise and support the IT Systems Administrator, ensuring quality end-user support and documentation (FAQs, training guides, etc.)
Manage IT procurement, asset tracking, budgeting, and vendor relationships.
Commercial Systems Administration & Development
Serve as system owner/admin for Salesforce CRM, AcuityMD, and ERP (selection TBD), including user setup, data quality, workflows, and reporting.
Design and implement automations, integrations, and custom workflows across tools to improve sales and operational efficiency.
Create and manage dashboards and tools using Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Copilot to support sales productivity, pipeline visibility, and performance tracking.
Align systems and tools across Commercial, Operations, and Finance to meet business needs.
Serve as technical lead for vendors and integration partners.
Cybersecurity, Compliance & Privacy
Lead cybersecurity and privacy for commercial systems, working with QA/RA to ensure compliance with data protection standards
Monitor and remediate security events and system access risks across internal and commercial platforms.
Ensure compliance with encryption, endpoint protection, logging, MFA, and password policies.
Maintain the IT disaster recovery plan and ensure off-site backup protocols are in place.
Support sales team responses to hospital and ASC security and privacy requests.
Strategic Technology Planning & Oversight
Evaluate and rationalize technology tools, licenses, and vendors to improve value and reduce redundancy (e.g., transitions between tools like JAMP to Kandji).
Track IT budgets, renewals, and align spending with budget and forecasts.
Lead tech initiatives like platform migrations, AI-driven tools, and SharePoint reorganization.
Manage and coordinate MSPs and external tech support as needed.
Skills and Experience to Enable Success:
5+ years of experience in IT administration or systems management, ideally in a fast-paced or growth environment.
Experience administering commercial systems (e.g., Salesforce, AcuityMD, ERP) and integrating tools across business functions.
Strong technical knowledge of networking, device management, cybersecurity practices, and Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
Familiarity with MedTech or regulated environments is an asset.
A service-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
Comfort operating both strategically and hands-on in a small team environment.
